What it does

Glass mineral wool offers excellent thermal and acoustic insulation that can easily help to meet regulations and does the job well. It’s made from molten glass, spun into fine fibres and then made into a wool-like material that traps air, to prevent heat and intrusive sound getting through. Glass is also naturally non-combustible, so all Superglass products carry a fire classification of Euroclass A1 – one of the highest possible ratings available. According to that standard, ‘Euroclass A1 products will not contribute in any stage of the fire including the fully developed fire’. That means they help protect buildings against fire by not supporting the spread of flames, thus limiting damage and helping to keep occupants safe.
