IndiNature's IndiTherm® is a hemp-based insulation that is set to revolutionise the sustainable construction industry. This insulation fits into your building's framework like a glove, with firmness and stability that won't let you down over time. What’s more, this material is safe and easy to handle.

Adding to the appeal, IndiTherm® delivers significant carbon savings, going beyond carbon neutrality to achieve net negative embodied carbon! The exceptional thermal and moisture balance offered by this eco-friendly product will ensure that builds and projects retain heat in the Winter and stay cool in the Summer.

Why should hemp insulation be at the top of your list for your next project?

Hemp insulation, such as IndiTherm®, aligns perfectly with the global shift towards sustainable and green construction. With people becoming increasingly environmentally conscious, adopting such eco-friendly solutions could help you stand out in a competitive market. Plus, it's a move that future-proofs your builds.

With impending laws and regulations leaning towards sustainability, going green with hemp insulation today could save you the scramble of compliance tomorrow. Also, let's not forget the incredible benefits your customers receive, such as regulated temperature, and a way to help with reducing their carbon footprint.

How is IndiTherm Produced?

IndiNature's IndiTherm® is not only a revolutionary product but also a testament to excellent British manufacturing. Produced right here in the UK, it's the result of research and development combined with eco-conscious manufacturing practices.

After the rigorous quality assessment of manufacturing process and products with BBA & UKAS testing, IndiTherm is the first hemp insulation and currently the only UK made natural fibre insulation to hold a BBA Agreement certificate in the UK*.

From January 2024, IndiTherm industrial hemp thermal and acoustic insulation can be specified for retrofit or new build construction projects at scale following accreditation with a full BBA Agreement Certificate.

After its first year of manufacturing at the IndiNature Mill in the Scottish Borders, IndiNature has built the capacity to supply insulation at scale.

So how is IndiTherm® produced? First, hemp, a fast-growing and renewable plant, is harvested and processed. The fibres are then combined with a bio-based binder, resulting in a self-supporting and non-itch insulation. This process makes full use of the natural benefits of hemp.

Did you know that nearly half of the carbon emissions are linked to the construction industry? This includes the carbon required for manufacturing products and providing heating and cooling (Green Building Council, 2017). However, IndiNature harness the power of fast-growing industrial crops which naturally absorb CO2 from the atmosphere as they grow. This CO2 is then safely stored within the products. Moreover, the manufacturing process is designed to be incredibly energy efficient, consuming just 10% of the energy that conventional insulations require. As a result, the products actually store more carbon than they emit.

IndiTherm® hemp insulation from IndiNature is a game-changer in the sustainable construction industry. The convenience, coupled with the environmental benefits make it an excellent choice for any building project, offering both practical and ethical benefits.

One of the standout qualities of IndiTherm® is its firmness and stability, which ensures long-lasting performance without any compromise over time, this is also great for installers who don’t have to worry about slumping.

Why is IndiTherm® the Answer to Mould and Dampness?

IndiTherm®, with its unique composition and properties, resists mould and dampness, thereby contributing to the longevity of your builds. This attribute ensures that homes remain warm, dry, and comfortable, irrespective of harsh weather conditions.

But why does this matter, especially in the current climate? With changing weather patterns and increasing instances of heavy rainfalls, the incidence of dampness and mould is on the rise. These issues can cause structural damage over time, reducing the lifespan of buildings. However, a preventative measure like using mould and damp resistant insulation can counteract this.

Not only does IndiTherm® protect against mould and dampness, but its superior insulating properties also mean that heat is sealed in.

In essence, opting for IndiTherm® hemp insulation not only means you're choosing an eco-friendly, carbon-negative solution, but you're also investing in the long-term durability and comfort of your building projects.

Why is IndiTherm® the Perfect Choice for Retro-Fitting in England and Scotland?

When it comes to retrofitting projects, choosing the right insulation is crucial.

England and Scotland, with their characteristically cold and damp climates, pose unique challenges for insulation.

IndiTherm® boasts superior moisture resistance and thermal properties ensure that buildings stay warm, dry, and comfortable, irrespective of the harsh outdoor conditions. Plus, the easy-to-handle and non-itch nature of IndiTherm® makes the retrofitting process simpler and safer, a significant advantage for renovation projects with existing structure constraints.

But that's not all! Opting for IndiTherm® is also a forward-thinking choice. More and more homeowners in England and Scotland are seeking sustainable solutions for their homes, not only to reduce their carbon footprint but also to meet tightening building regulations. By choosing IndiTherm®, you're future proofing your projects while giving your clients a product that aligns with their eco-conscious values.

So, are you ready to make the switch to IndiTherm®, providing your retrofit projects in England and Scotland with the best in class sustainable, yet practical, insulation solution? With IndiTherm®, you can be sure of delivering projects that stand the test of time, climate, and regulatory changes. Will your next retrofit project tap into the unrivalled benefits of IndiTherm®.
