Fill the remaining layer with sharp sand and use a screed bar to compact down the surface.

Don’t forget a layer of weed membrane to help stop any weeds coming through. Roll out the roll of artificial grass, making sure to overlap edges by approximately 50mm for a tidy border. When you’re happy, trim the excess and secure into position. Use adhesive tape to secure joins and then seal the edge of the grass with U-pins to prevent the edges from lifting.

And voila! Your new lawn is ready to go.
