What do you get when a loyal MKM customer gets down on one knee, in an MKM jumper? An MKM proposal and a series of unforgettable surprises, that’s what!

Chris Nelson, the owner of Chris Nelson Construction, has been a dedicated customer of MKM for years, always trusting us for his materials and supplies. But there was one big thing he’d been putting off: proposing to his long-time partner, Beck. So, what better way to pop the question than on Christmas Eve, surrounded by the kids, and proudly wearing an MKM Christmas jumper?

 

 

Chris shared the story of the proposal with us:

“It took quite a bit of planning, especially the outfit (the MKM Christmas jumper was non-negotiable!). We made sure to get the kids involved, too. It was Christmas Eve, and we sent Beck out to her mum’s place. Once she was gone, I ran a quick rehearsal with the kids, who were absolutely thrilled. When Beck came back in, I got down on one knee and popped the question. She said yes, which is the most important thing!”

We were thrilled when Chris chose to make this special moment even more memorable with our MKM merch. To show our appreciation, we invited him and Beck to their local branch in Birkenhead for a series of surprises.

Among the surprises was a bouquet of yellow and blue roses (of course!), a custom "Mr. and Mrs." high-vis vest set, and even a contribution to their wedding fund. Oh, and we couldn’t resist tying tin cans to the back of the Hiab trucks!

Chris, was made up with the gesture and said,

 “We had an amazing day – thanks so much for organising everything and for all the fantastic surprises!”
Beck then said, “I bet we’re going to see a lot more proposals in MKM jumpers now!”
