In December 2021, 10-year-old Elsie from Driffield, diagnosed with terminal CLN3 Batten Disease, inspired her community to rally around her cause. Local builder James Lee shared her story with MKM Driffield, leading Branch Directors Gary Hoggard and Duncan McFarlane to launch a campaign to support her. Over £30,000 was raised to build a specialist extension for her home, with contributions from suppliers and customers.
