It’s that magical time of year again! We at MKM Building Supplies are thrilled to announce the launch of our 2024 Christmas Card Competition, and we’re inviting all young artists across the UK, aged 16 and under, to get involved. Now in its third consecutive year, this festive competition has become a highlight for us, and we’re eager to see the amazing creativity that will come our way.
There’s nothing like the joy of receiving a Christmas card designed by young, talented hands. That’s why we’re excited to print up to 10,000 Christmas cards featuring the winning designs and spreading festive cheer to our customers, suppliers, and partners across the country.
Who Can Enter?
If you’re aged 16 or under, you’re eligible to take part in one of the following age categories:
- 0-3 years
- 4-6 years
- 7-11 years
- 12-16 years
Whether you love to draw, paint, or create digital artwork, we encourage you to channel your festive spirit and get creative! While it’s not required, you’re welcome to incorporate MKM elements such as bricks, timber, or tools, or even feature our mascot, Bricky.
What’s at Stake?
The winner from each age group will win a £50 Amazon voucher. Additionally, one overall winner will see their design printed on over 10,000 Christmas cards and will receive a fantastic £200 art bundle for their school or nursery to help inspire more creative minds.
How to Enter
To enter, simply create your design on an A4-sized canvas, whether it’s hand-drawn or digital. Submit it in JPEG or PDF format along with the artist’s name, age (as of 1st December 2024), date of birth, and a parent/guardian’s contact details (address, email, and phone number). The deadline for submissions is 9am on 8th November 2024.
We’ll judge all entries anonymously, looking for bold, bright designs that stand out, include our logo, and capture the festive spirit. We’ll also be working with Hull Children’s University to promote the competition locally as part of our ongoing commitment to community engagement.
