A glazed porcelain tile with a smooth matt finish and frost-proof glaze. With modern manufacturing and digital printing, plank tiles like this can replicate real wooden flooring without the usual demands of maintenance and upkeep. The Antique Wood is inspired by sanded reclaimed floorboards which provides a rustic, contemporary room setting. Digitally printed tiles like this do not require sealing and cannot warp or rot like real wood. Also known as Savona Grey.

If tiling the Antique Wood in brick bond do not use an overlap of greater than 25% as these plank tiles are not rectified. Plank tiles such as this can create an illusion of space in smaller rooms because of fewer grout lines.

There are 14 different prints in Scandinavia. Each box is random and you may receive multiple copies of certain patterns inside different boxes, they are packed at random at the factory. When fitting this sort of multi-print tile you should mix the tiles from various boxes as you go, to gain a more desired effect.

Frost-proof tiles are an important consideration for rooms where the temperature may drop below zero such as utility rooms and conservatories. Tiles with a frost-proof glaze have a water absorption rate of less than 0.5% meaning they are ideal for such conditions. Tiles which are not frost-proof may absorb water which would freeze at zero and below, causing the tile to crack.
