Applications

This primer is ideal for

• New or slightly rusted steel surfaces in industrial environments.

It can be applied using brush, roller, or air-atomised spray, offering flexibility for different project needs.

Application Instructions

For best results

1. Prepare the surface ? Remove grease, oil, loose rust, and mill scale using scraping, wire brushing, or sanding.

2. Stir well before use to ensure even consistency.

3. Apply between 5?C and 35?C, with humidity below 85% to prevent moisture interference.

4. For brush application ? Thin with up to 10% Rust-Oleum Thinner 7301, using a natural bristle brush.

5. For roller application ? Use a medium nap roller, thinning with up to 10% Rust-Oleum Thinner 7301.

6. For air-atomised spray ? Thin with 10-20% Rust-Oleum Thinner 7301 for optimal coverage.

7. Recoatable after 2 hours, allowing for a quick project turnaround.

Restrictions and Limitations

• Not suitable for application in high humidity (>85%) or below 5?C.
• Do not apply thick coats beyond the recommended film thickness, as this may impact drying and adhesion.
• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from contaminants before application.
