Teamac Micaceous Iron Oxide 5L is a high-performance, anti-corrosive coating designed to protect structural steel from rust and environmental damage. Available in Silver Grey, it can be used as a standalone finish or as a base coat for further topcoats.

Applications Uses

• Ideal for structural steel, bridges, buildings, and industrial metal surfaces.
• Can be used alone or overcoated with Teamac Marine Gloss or Teamac Metalcote for added durability.
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use, providing long-term corrosion resistance.

Application Guidelines

• Surface Preparation: Steel surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from rust, grease, and contaminants.
• Best preparation method: Blast clean to SA 2? for superior adhesion. If blasting is not feasible, mechanically clean the surface.
• Application Method: Apply with a brush or roller?do not thin the product. Stir well before use.
• Dry Film Thickness (DFT): Apply at 20-40 microns for effective protection.
• Recoat Time: Allow a minimum of 16 hours and a maximum of 10 days between coats.

Ensure good ventilation in confined spaces during application and drying.

Limitations Restrictions

• Only suitable for steel surfaces?do not use on damp, contaminated, or highly humid areas.
• Do not thin the product or apply in temperatures below 5?C or above 25?C.
• Avoid application near open flames or heat sources due to its flammable properties.
